Chinese-style Eggplants!

This recipe is based on papadesuyo777's Hot-plate Eggplants! Since I don't have several ingredients from his recipe I omitted and added some stuff and it was very tasty! I also steamed the eggplants instead but papadesuyo777's method will let the eggplant retain its colour. If you want to try the eggplants with a more traditional and authentic taste, here is papadesuyo777's video!

Vegetable Pasta Sauce!

At the time I really I wanted to cook something so ended up doing another pasta sauce!

Vegetable Pasta Sauce (serves 3-4 people)

1 can pasta sauce
1/3 green bell pepper, chopped to small pieces
1/3 red bell pepper, chopped to small pieces
1/3 yellow bell pepper, chopped to small pieces
1/2 onion, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 stem of celery, minced
1/2 to 1 cup grated carrot
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon parsley
less than 1 tablespoon olive oil

1. Heat oil in a saucepan and add the garlic. When aromatic add the onion.
2. When onion is aromatic add the celery and bell peppers. Saute for 2 minutes.
3. Pour in the pasta sauce, oregano, basil and parsley. Stir well.
4. Add the grated carrot and simmer the sauce on the lowest heat for 15-20 minutes.
5. Serve with pasta and enjoy!

Untraditional Pasta Sauce!

I love tomato sauce pasta and our family has our own version where we use condensed milk to sweeten the tomato sauce! This recipe was based on that!

Untraditional Pasta Sauce! (serves 3-4 people)

more than 1/2 can pasta sauce
2 tablespoons condensed milk
about 1/4 cup ketchup
4 hotdogs, sliced
1/2 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, sliced
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped in small pieces
3 mushrooms, chopped in small pieces
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon parsley
less than 1/2 cup vegetable juice (optional)
less than 1 tablespoon olive oil
(optional) a teaspoon of hot sauce

1. Heat oil in a saucepan. Saute in garlic then add in onion.
2. After 2 minutes, add the hotdogs. Saute for a minute.
3. After a minute, saute in mushrooms and bell peppers.
4. Saute for 2 minutes then add the pasta sauce. Mix well.
5. Add the hot sauce, oregano, basil and parsley. Stir in the condensed milk blend well. (if the consistency is too thick to your preference add some vegetable juice.
6. Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes on medium-low.
7. Cook desired pasta according to directions and serve with sauce.
8. Garnish with shredded cheese and enjoy!

A suggested serving if you really want a treat is you serve it with spaghetti, chicken nuggets and an egg! It's quite kiddie but it makes me happy!! Had it with some milk too!

'Sushi' Burger!

A really easy dish-up for your burgers! Add desired wasabi amount too!

'Sushi' Burger (serves 1 person)

1 patty of salmon burger
1 tablespoon mayonaise
1/8 teaspoon wasabi paste
1 hamburger buns
Pickled ginger

1. Toast burger buns.
2. Combine mayonaise and wasabi.
3. Spread the wasabi mayonaise on both sides of toasted hamburger buns. Place salmon burger on the bun.
4. Add the pickled ginger on the burger and enjoy!

Oyakodon!

It's a really filling meal that's easy! Especially if you feel lazy in a cold day. My version is a bit simplified than the traditional recipe.
