Duck Fried Rice!

I made roasted duck omurice! The fried rice contained of

- small handfull of beansprouts
- teaspoon and a half chopped ginger
- one or two chopped green onions
- salt
- pepper
- soy sauce
- 35 grams chopped roasted duck, the stuff you can buy fresh in your asian store

I did not use a lot of oil for the stir-frying, since the duck was pretty greasy. Fried rice was seasoned with salt, pepper and soy sauce. The rice was heated in microwave for about 30 seconds so it was easier to mix in the pan with the other stuff. After the ingredients are cooked and the rice was combined in is when I add the green onions.

Afterwards, I put a scrambled egg top and drizzled on some sriracha sauce! Woohoooo.

Kimcheese Burger!

 I like kimchi...

This consisted of

- onions lightly fried in sesame oil
- kimchi sauteed in sesame oil to drain out excess moisture
- a slice of American cheese melted while cooking on a burger patty
- sweet chili sauce
- sriracha sauce
- a warmed burger bun

1. Drizzle sriracha sauce on the bottom bun and spread sweet chili sauce on the top bun.
2. Place onions and some kimchi on the bottom bun.
3. Place the burger with cheese next.
4. Pile on the rest of the kimchi on the cheese.
5. Slam the top bun on and enjoy!

Bokkeum!

SO this was a tasty dish and I put a bunch of stuff in it.

- Minced garlic and ginger (about a teaspoon each)
- Some green onions sliced in strips, I cut the thicker parts in half and separated their layers.
- Coarsely chopped kimchi. Almost a cup. I did not drain it much but I did use about more than a tablespoon of kimchi juice.
- A little flaked pepper barbequed salmon, the salmon was bought at the supermarket.
- A little pork, chopped to small pieces.
- Strips of sliced tofu; about half a square of tofu was used.
- About 2 cups of washed and drained beansprouts.
- Kimchi sauce: 1 tbs kimchi juice, 2 teaspoons oyster sauce, little sriracha, a tablespoon banana ketchup, bit of black bean garlic sauce.

First, the drained and sliced tofu was coated in cornstarch then pan-fried in oil until it forms a nice crust.

SUMMER 2014 ANIMUS!!!

This won't be too long and probably no pictures. I have 5 picks starting in summer and Haikyuu!!.

Ao Haru Ride - Not a bad first episode. It's like really awkward and teen-angsty in a way. Really neat artwork, and it's the same studio as Haikyuu!!.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal - Wasn't bad as well but perhaps it was a bit cheesy? I'm not really digging the shading style alot, and the animation's okay. Some parts may have been unintentionally laughable. And I think I'm glad each episode comes out every two weeks.

Free!: Eternal Summer - It's baack!!! And it seems to be better than the first season. Really liking the direction its taking, although the first episode's a bit fast-paced. The boys are charming as ever!

Glasslip - So I see the multiple-sided love shapes of a group of friends are becoming a bit of a trend. But it's probably just me. Anyway, I'm slightly in a mixed feeling about this anime, mostly of the familiar concept of love hexagon of a group of friends. I've watched a couple of these already (Ano Natsu de Matteru, AnoHana and Nagi no Asukara) There's not much to say for how it is right now, but let's hope for the best.

Zankyou no Terror - Yo yo yo yo!!!!!! It's already so intense and it's probably of the strongest titles for the summer season. It's directed by the guy who did Cowboy Bebop, which I'd really like to watch as well. Jesus, man...The freaking cinematics/ scene composition (not sure if it's the right word), it just engages you in. It was so cool. And the story's pretty freaky as well. This is something I'd recommend to you right now. It was like watching a movie. Glad I picked this up.

Haikyuu!! - The interhigh-preliminaries are starting, and it's going to be AWESOME!!!

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy your summer anime season as well!
